Facility Services Management acknowledges its responsibilities and is committed to ensuring that our workplaces are safe and healthy for all employees, our customers, and the public.
Our Aims
To ensure our responsibilities are met, we will meet the following aims:
- Train all employees to perform their jobs safely.
- Have all employees report safety hazards when observed.
- Identify the cause of and take corrective action on every accident or near accident.
- Avoid hazardous situations and conditions through effective work planning and control.
- Provide and maintain safe equipment.
- Have all employees participate in developing and implementing effective health and safety standards and procedures.
- Operate OH&S Committees to consider and communicate information on health and safety issues.
- Achieve industry best practice through monitoring, auditing and continual improvement in occupational health and safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure that contractors and customers clearly understand and adhere to this Policy, and when required, assist them to comply with our OH&S Standards and Procedures.
- Not to compromise employee health and safety under any situation.
Occupational Health and Safety involves a team approach and shared responsibilities. All employees are expected to carry out their work so as to avoid injury to themselves and others and to co-operate fully to implement and maintain our OH&S Standards and Procedures.
